Home Page Branch Information Our Social Activities Beer Festivals Links to Other Sites
There are no official CAMRA beer festivals in the North East Suffolk area proposed in the foreseeable future.

A few pubs do run festivals under their own steam so keep an eye on this page. I would like to hear of any planned festivals, however small. If you do e-mail me with details keep it short please. Details published on this page will be very brief

There are quite a few CAMRA festivals outside our area but quite within reach and I mention these below. For festivals outside our branch area please try the
Suffolk CAMRA website,
the Norwich & Norfolk website,
the Colchester & N.E. Essex website,
the Cambridge & District website,
the Chelmsford & Mid-Essex website,
the West Norfolk website
or, of course, the main CAMRA beer festivals website

Another source of information is the local branch magazine. We do not have our own but we are covered in
the Ipswich one - Last Orders
or the Norwich one - Norfolk Nips

GETTING THERE
I am a firm advocate of public transport and the National Express East Anglia railways day ticket covers quite a number of these venues. South of Ipswich the day ticket is not valid at present and it is worth looking at going to Ipswich on a day ticket and then booking on. The Norwich to Cambridge service is an excellent line, especially as it opens the Thetford to Cambridge line to the day ticket availability (NEX services only). You can now have a lunchtime/afternoon bash in Cambridge from Lowestoft for £13.00 return, or less if you have a Railcard. Even a Sunday outing is quite possible. The one railway website is http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/
